Do Any Of You Mothers/mothers-to-be Sit In A Leather Executive-type Office Chair At Your Desk At Work/home?
I’m starting a new job next week where I will have a very plush leather executive-type chair in my new office. My concern being that I’ve just begun to get fairly gassy in my stage (2nd trimester), is that if I accidentally pass gas in this chair, will it bring it to the attention of everyone in the office? I’ve heard that leather chairs are terrible for this…
I apologize if this question seems inappropriate, I just wanted to ask this question anonymously to the experts out there!

Oh goodness lol. I would find a nice soft cushion to sit on and that way it may muffle the sound and when someone asks why the cushion then you say I’m pregnant and my back hurts no reason for them not to believe you because your pregnant and most people know what kinds of ache that brings us.

I have leather exec chairs in my office and I also work with men, one thing they find really funny is that the chairs often make noises that sound like farts, so if you have to blame the chair!….I have before and I am not preggo!

erm , I suppose that leather doesnt absorb either sound or smell as well as a fabric one..so you may be exposed as the office farter! but I always just nip off to the loo if I feel a rumble in my jungle. xx

I would go with a small cushion… that will make it quieter and trap more odors… just make sure you keep some febreeze handy to spray the cushion at 5 lol… good luck… it’s hard to quiet the symphony in a small office.

Sit on a pillow. people will asume it is the pregnancy – pillow, cause sitting can cause your hips to hurt. and you can use it for the other reason.

Leather will attract more attention than other fabric chairs…. But if you are around all women they will be more understanding since you are pregnant.
